At Last!!

Ding Dong! The witch is dead. Which old witch?
The Wicked Witch!
Ding Dong! The Wicked Witch is dead.
Wake up-sleepy head, rub your eyes, get out of bed. Wake up, the Wicked Witch is dead.
She's gone where goblins go,
Below - below - below. Yo-ho, lets open up and sing and ring the bells out.
Ding Dong, the merry-oh, sing it high, sing it low. Let them know
 The Wicked Witch is dead!!!

Lyrics written by E Y Harburg and Harold Arlen for the movie The Wizard Of Oz

When we first heard the news last night, this song started running thru my head and was still there this morning when I awoke. Our thanks go to all who made this event possible.

I love your post - all about the U.S. and it's people - I am so sick of hearing his name. You didn't mention it once and that is the way it should be - it WAS and IS a victory for the American people but also for the world.

I never say that name either.
Don't think this will be the last that is heard of it.

Don't really think the witch is dead guys, we all know the world we live in isn't such a great place to be.
That is such a shame. It doesn't have to be so....

We didn't watch TV last night so we didn't hear about this until this morning. What an amazing day!

While I am very happy that "he who shall not be named is dead", I'm now very, very worried for all my friends who are stationed overseas. Worrying about retaliation. Because the leader is gone - don't think the cause has been forgotten.

Lovely post. g
