By Francis Scott Key
Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thru the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
Happy 4th of July.
Happy July 4th Sue to you and your hubby and of course the gang. I am glad to see that it has cooled down a bit for you. The dogs must like it better now in the garden. I can imagine that they get antsy just like a bunch of two year olds.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
