Let's Run

What does a dog do on a lovely almost fall afternoon when the temperatures are cooler and the leaves are falling off the trees and blowing around the yard with each breeze?

A dog runs. It may be best to find a friend to run with.

It may be fun to chase a ball.

It may be fun to do both those things together.

Just let your ears flap in the breeze and go for it.

There might just be someone who will throw the ball again.

Whatever the method, it feels good to run after the hot days of summer.

And when you're done running, it's nice to lie in the grass and relax.

Or to catch up with a friend.

Meanwhile, I have another finished item to show off.

I finished the 'pile of pups'. View from the front.

View from the back. These little guys are for Nicki's agility club raffle.

Here they are next to the stack of cats that I finished a couple weeks ago. They're a quick project if you need a cute gift in a hurry.

  1. Hi friends!
I wish I was there running and chasing the ball and after all lie on the grass with you. I love the pile of pups and the stack of cats. So cute! Great job!

  2. LOVE the pile of pups!

The real dogs seem to be having a fun time in the yard, too. Marge had a playdate tonight with some friends and ran around like crazy in the cool air.

  3. We wondered if there would be a pile of pups - the kitties were so cute.

The cooler weather has created zoomies monsters out of the boys here - especially after dinner:)

  5. The pups are just the cutest things.

You must be a fast knitter/finisher to get them done so fast.

  7. The best season for us dogs we reckon - nice crisp days for long walks through the crunchy leaves!
Not to mention all those great fresh scents........
Our mum loved your pile of pups and the pile of cats - they are soo cute.
She is threatening to get her knitting out and she hasn't done that for a long time!
    Have a great weekend.

  8. Hi,

Great pics of you dogs!! We love fall and chasing leaves.

Mom is a knitter too and she just started back last night on a little baby hat. Something quick - she doesn't knit during the summer because of the heat - except maybe on some socks. We love to lie on her legs as she knits. Sometimes we try to help and she doesn't like it.

  10. Those stacked critters are so adorable!

I love the crisp fall air, but HATE how here, it's the mud season 'til late spring! I have a love/hate relationship with fall in western Oregon!

  11. Glad the "kids" can get out in the yard and romp. Thor got impatient with the boys' schooling today and herded them outside for a couple of hours at lunch time. It's funny how they have minds of their own.

  12. I've noticed that it's starting to get cooler and darker earlier. Tagpi and I look like the lot of you, running like crazy and enjoying the cooler temp. The pile of pups is really cute!
