A PWD PSA

Translation:  A Portuguese Water Dog Public Service Announcement

October is "Breast Cancer Awareness Month".

Tell your human Mom to schedule her mammogram if she hasn't already done it.

Most humans don't look forward to this, it's kind of like visiting the Vet for shots.

It's really important so that our humans will be with us and healthy forever.

Remind your Mom when she does her monthly self-exam, to check you, too.

It's easy. Just roll over for a belly rub and have Mom check for any tiny little bumps near your mammaries.

If she finds something, visit your vet to have it checked out. Do it regularly so we can stay healthy for a long, long time.

  1. Thanks for posting this! I think most people have lost someone to breast cancer, so it is important we look out for each. (Even if it is just bloggers through the web.)

  8. You are such good public servants! My MD is trying right now to beat me into a colonoscopy; I just don't know how much fun I can stand all at once.

  11. We sent our Lady this week. We know she has some kind of problems in that area and remind her that we need her. We (Bennie & Parker) even asked Julie not to call the Lady 'BigFoot' for a whole day when she got the mammogram. It's the lease we could do. When she got back home we all snuggled and had treats.
