Always In Our Hearts

2011 has been a difficult year for many.  Way too many of our friends crossed the Rainbow Bridge this year and we'd like to take some time to remember them.

January:

                                                       and her best friend Mew died 8/22/11

Although we didn't know them, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the terrible event of December 16th. That morning a house fire killed five of the Houston Pittie Pack. This is something that every pet owner fears and we are all horrified by their deaths. The two surviving dogs and the family are in our thoughts.

  7. Lovely tribute...even if it makes us a bit teary. Lots of lovely friends have crossed the bridge. We know each is missed as much as we miss Kendra.

    We hope 2012 is a kinder year.

  12. I'm sure you've made all of the above families feel a little bit better by letting them know how much you care. How I wish losing our animals was not something we had to deal with.

  17. Sue, once again, I am touched by your post as I look at all the beautiful faces that have gone to the Rainbow Bridge this year, and sad that of among them, there are six that belonged to us. But knowing who they are with, and who I still have with me, gives comfort. Thank-you for your tribute and remembering those that have left us.

  18. They all break my heart, but I don't know how Kim does it. She is a special lady - to loose so many in one year is incredible. God Bless her and all the doggie moms out there.

  20. Wonderful tribute. Sad when so many loved pets cross the bridge. Looks like they all had a life filled with love and caring and a good number of years with their families! Remembering the good times is helpful too.
