You've Come A Long Way, Baby

I have to brag. This little lady formerly known as Puppy #4 became Legacy's Winter's Grace. She's known as Gracie to all of us who love her.

She was always a sweet tempered little girl who tried to please. She always preferred cuddling to chasing around with her brothers and sisters.

We were extremely fortunate to find the perfect home for Gracie where she lives with J and Splash. She settled in easily and has continued to thrive.

Earlier this spring I got word that Grace had taken to swimming as if she'd been doing it for years. Last week I had the opportunity to see her in the water. She loves it and is very comfortable swimming.

A couple weeks ago Grace started diving. She's still a little unsure of herself, but I have no doubt she'll soon be diving with no qualms.

J has been working with Gracie on obedience training for several months. She decided to enter her in a Rally Trial in Sedalia, MO today just as a test to see how she handled the excitement and distraction of having people and dogs wandering around.

Rally is a form of obedience competition. It's a little more flexible than standard obedience work and seems to be more fun for dogs and handlers alike.

I just heard from J. Not only did Gracie handle the excitement and distractions, she received a score of 82 to finish fourth. Our little girl now has her first leg of her Rally Novice title.

Grace and J have made Rob and me so very proud.
