Busy In The Kitchen

I think my pups enjoy this time of year a lot. Not only are the outside temperatures more to their liking, but they get to help me in the kitchen. The kitchen is one of their favorite rooms in the house.

Here's Noah showing that the boys get dirty faces, too. His isn't from digging in the yard. His is from licking out the ice cream container. They take turns and Noah was the lucky one this time.

Back to the kitchen. Yesterday was a productive day. For the humans I made Italian Herb Bread and apple pie.
For the canines we made a big pot of vegetable beef soup and some apple-peanut butter cookies.

Here's the quality control team waiting to taste test the new batch of cookies. Happily, all the food received a passing grade from the inspectors.

This weekend we'll start making Christmas cookies. I wonder if the dogs will be interested in helping? Yeah, right!

Sydney really wishes her momma would learn to bake those yummy cookies. And we both wonder . . . With such a large pack, how many cookies are left after a taste test? :-)

MMM......looks totally yummy! MaggieMae is a good taste tester too, except for raw veggies or citrus. Oh well, more for me. I just bought a new kitchen stove and have a fridge coming tomorrow, and I am hoping to get into baking for the holidays soon after! Unfortunately right now I have lots of work to catch up on here so the baking comes second. But I am sure MaggieMae will be right there when I do get to it!

Well, I'm glad to see you're not the kind of dope who leaves her pie plate on a burner and then turns it on! To be fair, it's a smooth top stove, so maybe I can be forgiven?

And if you tell Thor there are special dog only cookies, he will want to come join your pack! (Or are there enough of you guys so you form a herd yet?)

I would be glad to join your pack for these baking activities. I am not a pro, but say, I am a real good taste tester!

Just gimme a ring anytime!

Kisses,
Stella

Love it. My girls are great helpers too. Gretchen has been especially watchful; I cut my finger rather badly last night, and she knows Mama need supervision and TLC...
