Field Trip

It's been very cold here all week, teen temps, but today it's on it's way to 60 degrees, so it seemed like a perfect time to introduce the puppies to the back yard. After everyone had eaten and settled down for a mid morning nap, we carried Syd and Mac into the back yard. They were trembling with nervousness and I wondered how they'd do.
Be careful, Syd, those things might eat little puppies.
Look what I found.
They weren't at all frightened and had a great time exploring. We've learned over the years that a good way to tire puppies is to stand at opposite sides of a yard and call them back and forth. It worked again and we have two sleepy pups who will probably snooze away most of the day.

Your sweet little pups could not be any cuter, and they really do help mend a broken heart, don't they?

Gosh they're cute!! We've found a 6 mile hike is a good way to get big girls to take long naps.

Scratch that. Sis is half asleep, but Gg is on guard, watching out the window... because her Dadaw just started down the drive I think!!

Me the same as Kim!

You will never stop missing the dear pups you lost, but Syd and Mac will keep you plenty busy laughing and loving their little rotund selves.

I'd be tired just watching them bounce around! They are adorable. I think they'll wear out the bigger guys when you let them.

Looks like you all enjoyed their first yard time. Sure wish you'd push that 60 degree weather our way a little faster; we've got your 'high in the teens' leftovers and we're ready for it to move on. Looking forward to seeing the babies as they start to play, gradually, with their new big brothers and sisters. Hope Sebastian is doing better.
