Waiting and Hoping

Sebastian is healing. Morgan gets her stitches out on Wednesday.
We're waiting to hear from the University on the lab results for Fudge and Noah. Yesterday we took them in for their weekly weigh-in and Noah had gained three pounds. Fudge gained four pounds. It's excellent news but they're  both still sick.

Noah has a good appetite and is quite active, playing with his sisters every day.

Fudge has to be coaxed to eat and at times seems depressed. Other times he reverts to being his usual happy go lucky self.
Our vet is checking daily with the other vets for the first lab results to come back. They'll tell us if the boys have Cryptosperidium. If not, we may learn what is making them sick and how to treat them.

We all have our paws crossed for good news soon.

Poor Fudge may be depressed over the loss of his pack-mates recently. At least they're gaining some weight. I'm glad to see Sebastian doing the paw-crossing demonstration. And it's great that he and Morgan are healing.

For one thing, when dogs get sick they often get depressed because they don't know where the magic has gone. So that, combined with the loss of packmates, may be causing Fudge to walk around feeling sad, then something hits him and he thinks otherwise. Then its bedtime and he gets sad again. I am sure you are giving him much attention and I hope his happy times get longer, more frequent.

We will have crossed paws, and prays going Fudge and Noah's way!

It's great that Fudge and Noah have gained weight! That seems like a huge step in the right direction. So glad that Sebastian and Morgan are healing well. Will be watching for news about the lab results. Fingers and paws crossed for more good news!

I'm praying you find out soon and it will be something easier to deal with. Have they been able to tell you were this stuff originates (sorry I can't spell it!)? Is it soil borne or??? It looks like you have such a safe environment for them too. My girl run around here eating sheep poop and heaven's knows what when I'm not watching them like a hawk.
Tammy (I'd also wonder too if Fudge is not still grieving. He has lost his mate, one of his pups and his chance at being top dog all in a short amount of time).
