The grass and trees enjoyed the rain and we're green again after two years of dusty drought.
The rock garden even sprouted into green again.
The little girls shed their plastic bonnets today after I checked the incisions. They're all healed up and though I'm not permitting any wrestling for a few more days, they're happy to be free again. Syd was a good patient. Mac, not so much.
So what if she's going in the opposite direction from all the others? At her age those things don't matter any more.
They needed to use up some of that energy that was building up during stormy days.
He's not going to let Rob out of his sight.
Thanks to all who wrote or called to check on us. We're still here, but there was a casualty. Though Mama Cardinal sat on her nest all through the storm, she was unable to keep the rain from flooding her home. This morning we found the contents of the nest on the ground and Mama was gone. I hope she chooses a safer place to rebuild.

Oh, it is sooooo good to hear that all is well (well, except for poor Ms. Cardnial...sorry bouts that...)
Butts, it sure looks like the pack is happy happy happy to be runnin' around on the VERY green grasses!!
Have I told you that Mac TOTALLY reminds Ma of MOI?! I did the same thingy to my 'cone of shame'! hehee
Ma had to get me a no-bite collar instead.
Enjoy your Sunday guys!
Kisses,
Ruby
We just woke up to the News (It's 6 a.m. here--too dark to walk yet). Sounds like it's been a wild time. We're so glad most of the storm went around you....poor mama Cardinal.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Sue, I thought about you yesterday and am glad that you've gotten through this last round of storms with the only casualty being the cardinals nest--I hope they rebuild too, and I hope you all continue to stay safe!! Take care!!
Glad you survived with no damage other than those poor little birds. Any loss of life is sad.
Great zoomies!
Kisses,
Dexter
So sorry to hear about the nest. We had those heavy rains here too, but may be not as much. We hope you had as beautiful a day today as we did. And we hear tomorrow will be good too.
Love seeing all the pups enjoying the outside.
Woos - Phantom. Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Poor birdie. That rain is good for some things only

Glad to hear you came thru the wild weather safe. Those pups were sure having fun running and playing in the green yard.

We're so happy to hear that you're safe but sad to hear about Mother Cardinal.
Love ya lots♥

While we're sad too for Mama Cardinal, we're glad she was the only one who wasn't safe.
Love the happy, running dogs, and smiling Sebastian. Congrats to the little girls for their renewed freedom.
Our condolences on the loss of poor Mama Cardinal and her babies.
I'm glad you all weathered the storm well, and that your splash pool got filled up! As for Morgan, she is clearly following the old adage, "Be your own dog!"
I LOVE your running photos, but what I love even more is that Sebastian foot photo - how perfect! :)
It's so nice to see everyone running. And Sebastian right where he should be.
Well, Sebastian sure is a one man dog. Maybe he should put one of those tracking devices on his daddy so he can always find him? Glad you came through the storms relatively unscathed, except for the baby Cardinals. Our Cousin Pretty Girl has a small brown bird that returns year after year and builds her nest inside the mailbox on the covered porch. Cousin Pretty Girl has to put a basket out for her mail for several weeks, but it's worth it.
Whew thank heavens that's all over. I bet the gang were worried too. Snuffles hates thunder and lightning and heavy rain- they can feel changes in the barometric pressure I am sure. Can sure see that Sebastian loves Rob.
Sorry to hear about the cardinals.
Looks like those cones became chew toys! Glad everyone is happily recuperating and romping in the green grass.
Susan and Wrigs
