Scare A Dog Day

Hi Everybody,
Today is what some peeps call Halloween but we call it scare a dog day. Let me tell you about some of the scary stuff going on around here. Last night when Dad took Syd and Mac out for last call, one of these was sitting on our front steps.
There's a loud scary noise in the trees behind our fence and we all run for the house when we hear it. Mom says it's an owl, but we don't think so. We think it's one of these.

The other night Dad was busy on the porch and made us stay in the house. Finally after about 87 hours he let us come out and look what was sitting there on the table. Yikes, he's lucky it didn't eat him.

Mom and Dad have this thing about garden spiders. They like them. Mom says they're good spiders that eat lots of bad bugs, but this spider thing is getting out of control. Look at all the spiders on our porch one night last week.
This is a scary time for us but there are a couple of good things about it. First, Mom isn't really into Halloween, so she doesn't make us wear silly costumes. And the very best thing is that Grace and Runtley's Mom made these wonderful pumpkin spice cookies and sent us two plates full. We had some after dinner tonight and boy, were they ever good. And guess what, Noah and I can eat them, too because she used things that are on our special diet.
I really really love those cookies, but I'm keeping my eyes covered so I don't have to see all those other scary things. Tell me when this day is over.
Your pal, Fudge

Aw, Fudge, don't you know that kittycats - even black ones - love dogs? Or maybe dogs love kittycats, as in love to chase them. I get confused. I'm not a fan of spiders, even though I know they eat nasty bugs, but I am a fan of Mr. Punk-Man! I hope you all are enjoying your cookies!

We got banished to the back yard just because we barked at the scary intruders.
