What's For Dinner?

I'll bet you thought I was exaggerating yesterday when I said I was playing doggy dietitian. Well, maybe not diatitian but definitely doggy cook.  After my second cup of coffee this morning I got started on my new duties. First a big pot of turkey, sweet potato, veggie food for Noah and Fudge. This will last four days.
Next a crock pot full of beef veggie soup for the girls and Sebastian.  This will also last three or four days depending on how generous I am. This get ladled out over their kibble at dinner only. Breakfast is plain kibble.
Next some rice and mashed sweet potato to try and tempt Morgan. I mixed it with her kibble and thought the sweetness would attract her. I was wrong, so the others got to share it on their dinner.
Finally I baked up some chicken breasts with skin on. We'll do various things with the meat but I'm saving the fatty broth to pour over Morgan's kibble. She needs to gain some weight and this should help if she'll cooperate and eat it. I tried a little tonight and she liked it a lot. Let's hope she continues to like it.
It does take a lot of time to make food for all these different diets, but my reward is seeing how happy they are as they lick their bowls clean.
Guess I'll be in the kitchen a lot this winter.

The original short-order cook!

We get vegies and rice and stuff put over our kibble, too. Sometimes just peanut butter gravy (a dot of PB melted in water) to put over our kibble.

All of this yummy food is making our mom think of the countless days that she cooked for angel Maggie ♥ It was so well worth it and Maggie sure did love her home cooked meals! Bless you, Miss Sue!

Love ya lots♥

I used to cook for Otis the Scottie, Bitsy the Schnauzer and Eddie the Whatsis. They loved it of course, but for one thing, it got very expensive! But their health, coat and attitude was 100%! Now Stella gets a little in the bottom of her bowl, maybe cheese, egg, meat, soup, hotdish, she loves it all, even though she gets very little (with her kibble on top!)

Have you ever used Grizzly Salmon Oil that Chewy's sells? Stella's after shedding hair looks bad and I am going to try some of this.

Brava la Cuoca!

Yum. My girls got a taste of their Dadaw's first attempt (delish!) at mac 'n cheese, but thankfully, we haven't had to cook FOR them in a while.

Well, at least all of this cooking comes during cold weather. I'm sure it can get tedious to try to keep it all straight, but the pack is surely worth it. You are a wonderful dog-ma.

I used to make big pots of things to add to their kibble - I need to do that again. Monty and Harlow are both so finicky about food.

(Just the motivation I needed - thanks!)
