Gibson

He was puppy # 6, a beautiful boy who we called Indy.

When he was 12 weeks old he went to live in Oklahoma with a nice man and his two teenaged children. The kids loved teaching him tricks.
They changed his name to Gibson and called him Gib.

They bought a boat so they could take him swimming, one of his favorite activities.
Last night I got a call. Gib had gotten  very sick and they made the heartbreaking decision to let him go.

I feel honored that my puppy buyers have both turned to me hoping that I was still breeding. It assures me that my choices were good and that the pups inherited the very best qualities of both their parents.
I will try to help them find another puppy to fill the enormous void in their lives, but we know that Gib will forever hold a giant piece of their hearts.

He was a handsome boy, just like all of yours. Soft woos and gentle hugs to Gibson's family. We have a PWD who moved in up the street. She is very pretty, seems to be taller than your pups. They have just shaved her for the summer - Mom sort of liked the fluffy curly look.

Hope your crew is recovering from the weekend - still working on it here.

So nice that you could keep in touch with your boy. Sounds like he had a wonderful life....and that's what you hope when you send puppies off into the world. We hope the family finds a new family member soon.

Sue, this is Curtis, Gibsons owner (best friend). Thank you for posting this! You have really helped in our healing process! Who would have ever thought Gibson - Gib (Gibson Indigo Baker) would have so much to offer to our family but boy were we wonderfully wrong!! Our mini schnauzer Maggie misses him dearly as well. He will always be a Baker family member. Fun note; he loved the snow but what a tangled , snow ball mess he would end up in!!! Do you dare say the word BOAT in front of him?? Only if you truly intended to take him that very minute!! Thank you again!! The Baker family!!!

Thank you for sharing that with us. I just read Gibson's owner's comment, and now I'm a little bleary-eyed. It's so hard to say good-bye. Thinking of you and everyone who is missing Gibson.
