I Love New York

We're under a tornado watch right now. It's getting very dark.

It started raining a few minutes ago and then the hail started.
It's not softball sized, but it sure makes a racket when it hits the windows.

It only lasted a few minutes, then turned back into rain.

Mother Nature is certainly in a bad mood this week. Do these look like friendly skies to you?

We'll be hanging around the house today with one ear open for the tornado sirens. We have a safe room underground where we and the dogs can go if the siren sounds.

These ugly clouds have already passed over us and are now to the east. They won't endanger us, but people east of us should probably be taking shelter about now.

This New Yorker would rather deal with 10 foot snowbanks, than with a tornado.

We have had multiple touchdowns here since 11:00 a.m. from at least three different tornadoes. Just quick touchdowns here, about 2 miles from home,we are all fine, but a lot of damage we hear in Sedalia. Stay safe.

This New Englander would take the 10 feet of snow any day over a tornado too. Makes me sad that I was so worried with a thunderstorm last night here... hang in there... sending good vibes your way!

Stay safe and let us know how you are. I guess I'll probably never move from CA, after everyone's stories of weather!

There were three small tornados within 50 miles of here yesterday. Our news reported them, but then said, in effect, "Suck it up. It's a lot worse in Joplin and Oklahoma." Hope you are all safe and well, and the pups aren't too bothered by the thunder.

Thoughts and prayers for all of you in this very rough weather. We seldom get bad stuff before July, August, although I don't know when it usually comes your way.

We are having one of the prettiest days we have had for a long while, however, it does stay chilly which could be affecting tornado activity.

Cheers and Hugs,

Jo and the Furry ones

I can't imagine what it must be like. I've been keeping an eye on the news and weather.com, hoping that you and the gang are all out of harm's way. Glad to hear you have a safe room.

Hugs and belly scratches all around!

Stay safe, guys! Gosh, we sure don't want to hear about any more tornados. They've done enough damage for quite some time!

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
