Bubba died 12/30/2011 at age 12

Although we didn't know them, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the terrible event of December 16th. That morning a house fire killed five of the Houston Pittie Pack. This is something that every pet owner fears and we are all horrified by their deaths. The two surviving dogs and the family are in our thoughts.

                                                  Coco Chanel
                                               Tiger

We miss all of you and you will all live forever in our hearts.

Your tributes are always so thoughtful. We'll stop at the boys' garden and cross paws after our walk this afternoon.

So many beautiful faces. I'm sure they're leaving behind families who are grieving, but grateful to have known them.

We have made it through the year without a loss, but not without close calls. Hope everyone has a happy and healthy 2012!

I'm sure you've made all of the above families feel a little bit better by letting them know how much you care. How I wish losing our animals was not something we had to deal with.

Sue, once again, I am touched by your post as I look at all the beautiful faces that have gone to the Rainbow Bridge this year, and sad that of among them, there are six that belonged to us. But knowing who they are with, and who I still have with me, gives comfort. Thank-you for your tribute and remembering those that have left us.

They all break my heart, but I don't know how Kim does it. She is a special lady - to loose so many in one year is incredible. God Bless her and all the doggie moms out there.

Wonderful tribute. Sad when so many loved pets cross the bridge. Looks like they all had a life filled with love and caring and a good number of years with their families! Remembering the good times is helpful too.

A wonderful tribute for such a heartbreaking thing. I see there were some youngsters among the group lost this year... and bless the family who lost so many in the fire. xoxo
