Hey Weather Dude....

Our snow all disappeared this week because we had a couple days where the temperature got almost to 60 and we had a little rain too. We didn't feel too bad because the weather dude told us that we were getting another snow storm on the weekend. We were just waiting.

Then last night about 7 o'clock we started getting some freezy rain. When we went to bed it was still coming down so we all fell asleep dreaming of a yard full of fresh white snow this morning.

Well, this is what we found this morning. It's white, sort of, but it isn't snow. It's icy and it's still falling out of the sky.
We like ice on the ground in big chunks that we can chew on, but we don't like it falling on us and making us wet and cold.

Mom thinks it looks pretty but she's worried about her and Dad being able to get the car out of the driveway later. She says Santa might not make it here on time if they can't. Wow, we sure hope they can drive and that Santa can get here with new toys.

We're all playing inside mostly today until this freezy stuff stops.
Your pal, Fudge

Mom wants to say something, too.

I want to wish a wonderful Winter Solstice to those of you who, like me, celebrate it.

Happy Solstice Sue. I hope you are able to get out. We had snow yesterday - but today it's all about the rain again.

After many years of experience, I am here to tell you: YOU CAN'T TRUST THE WEATHERMAN/WOMAN!

So just relax, you folks down in the South, and what comes is what comes.

Enjoy your cozy home and good eats!

Kisses,
Stella

Happy Solstice, back. We'll send you some of our hot temps to melt the ice (and make way for real snow). It's going to be over 100°F today...AGAIN! Snuggle up in a huge doggy pile to keep warm.

I am certain that freezing rain is a pain in the hindquarters (we don't get it here), but it sure is pretty.

Hope it melts really soon so you can go and get stuff for the kids.

We had 5 centimeters (2 inches) of snow yesterday and we are expecting more tonight and tomorrow and the day after etc etc etc. O joy I get to shovel the ski hill, oops, I mean driveway. Again.

Happy winter solstice! We hit 63 or some such. I walked the dogs in capri running pants, a short-sleeved tee and my warm-weather trail runners... and still was HOT.

We don't do ice either. Gg skates with grace, but Sissy scared me with the last "glazing".

Well, we have had freezing rain and sleet all day and we are STILL waiting for that snow to get here. Hope you all stay safe from that ice.
