Who Is Santa?

Last week someone who shall remain nameless made the statement that Santa is a white man. Since then every time I turn on the television I hear about the argument over what Santa really looks like. I see it on news programs and on late night comedy shows. Is Santa white or is Santa black? With all the problems this country has right now, it seems like a big waste of time discussing this at all.
Though I usually try to stay away from controversy on this blog, ( I have another secret blog where I tackle all the controversial topics), I felt I had to jump into this one because at 3 AM when I couldn't sleep, the answer came to me.

First let's remind ourselves of a few facts about Santa that are not in dispute. He sees us when we're sleeping, he knows when we're awake. He knows if we've been good or bad.

Are you getting where I'm going with this?

Santa is the spirit of selfless giving and unconditional love.

Surely you now know who Santa is.

Santa is black....

and white.......
and brown......

and red......

and gray.....

and spotted......
and striped......
and even naked.

Santa isn't human at all, Santa is an animal.
Doesn't your dog watch you when you're sleeping. He or she surely knows when you're awake. They know when you're good or bad and they give selflessly and offer unending unconditional love.
So all you TV people, just shut up. You don't know what you're talking about. We pet people know. Our dogs and cats and horses and birds and goats and whatever else are the true Santas and they're with us year round, not just for a few days in December.
Animals don't care about politics or race or color or even whether you're a good person or not. They only know how to love.
Now let's put this silly argument aside and concentrate on having a happy holiday season.

You are sooooooo right! Roxy especially likes the spotty part. Can't believe people would even waste time worrying about something like that.

Oh thank goodness I have missed all this kerfuffle. How ridiculous. Different country, different news. Something to be grateful for.

I like your theory the best.

AIREDALE!!!! BOL...okays, just kiddin', Maybe that is only in my egg nog filled dreams, butts I do thinks Santa is an animal in a peeps suit!
And, anyway, do you thinks a peep could eat ALL those cookies and milk??? No WAY! Only an animal (I prefer a doggie, butts let's not quibble at this point...) could eat all those foodables from all those houses!
Case Closed. Thank you.
Happy Holidays...oh, SORRY...Merry Christmas (don't wanna start a 'war' or anythings...)
