I have to share something totally ridiculous with you. Today Mom told us that yesterday was National Dog Day. She even said it with a straight face. Can you believe it?
We thought she was kidding but she showed us the headline on Facebook. How silly can these humans get?

We've been rolling on the ground with laughter ever since she said the words.
Don't you think it's time we clued these crazy peeps in?
Every day of the year is National Dog Day. And that goes for Leap year day, too.

I knew what you were going to say! And that is certainly true, because dogs make everyone happy. When we moved Ryan into his college dorm on Friday, there was a lady there with 2 dogs, just walking around to welcome students and their parents, and help to cheer any sad faces. National Dog Day, indeed!
We were too gobsmacked to even laugh when we heard that peeps have come up with ONE day as dog's day. What are they thinking?

Yes, we had a good laugh at this as well. Did we mention mama is now cooking for us fulltime, thanks to Jed's intestinal decline? Works for us. She kvetches a bit [she doesn't even cook for herself anymore], but we know we can rely on her to do her duty to serve us faithfully. All that early training we did is paying off :)
