Miss Norma Jean is an itchy dog. For about a year now we've been fighting an unknown source of her itchiness. We've done three food sensitivity tests where she didn't eat dog food, but it didn't help. She has taken several different antihistamines, but none helped. She tried Apoquel which is supposed to work differently to stop the itch, but it didn't work for her.
Dr B has examined her several times but nothing seems to tell us why she wants to scratch and chew on herself constantly.
So I've decided to think outside the box. She's getting extra fish oil capsules and is getting coconut oil on her dinner. Since fish oil seems to be good for the skin she's currently eating a diet of rice cooked with pumpkin and spinach. To that I add a little cooked pork loin, coconut oil and best of all, some Zignature Salmon Limited Ingredient Formula Grain-Free Canned Dog Food.
You've probably guessed by now that Zignature is one of our favorite foods. We've tried the dry food in both kangaroo formula and trout and salmon formula. We've tried several of the canned formulas and I've been very pleased with all of them.
Zignature is free of the usual allergens such as corn, wheat, soy, dairy and chicken. The first ingredient is exactly what the label shows, in this case salmon. My dogs love Zignature and they thrive on it.
I'm hoping that feeding Norma Jean lots of healthy fish will help her skin become less itchy and give us all some relief.
Chewy sent us this case of Zignature Salmon Limited Ingredient Formula food at no cost to us in exchange for our honest review. We really love this food. If you get an opportunity to try Zignature, do it. We think you'll be pleased.

We have had both the Trout and Salmon and the all Salmon formulas and love them both. Anything with fish HAS to be good, right? We hope it works miracles for Norma Jean.

I hope this helps poor Norma Jean! Jeff's dog Tank suffers from itchies, but he has a prescription that helps. I think it might be the apaquil.
I hope the fish works for you, Norma Jean! Great review!
