I've Been Distracted

The weatherman says that the rain is over for a few days. We'll see...

The sky last night looked confused. Was it going to be bright and clear, or dark and threatening?

It did rain a couple more times just to remind us who's in control, but today it's dry and brighter, not exactly sunny. We'll settle for dry. The dogs really need a good run around. It's been days since we saw the sun. They'll all be muddy by this afternoon, but a dogs gotta do what a dogs gotta do.

We want to remind everyone to send us your bandana pictures and tell your friends to send some too. We'll take any and all pets, so tie a bandana on your dragon and send it along.

I've been a little distracted lately and I thought I'd let you know what's going on. I don't like to complain a lot on my blog or dwell on my aches and pains, but this is a big deal in my life, so here goes.

On June 1st and again on June 8th, I'm having cataract surgery. My vision has finally gotten too blurry to enjoy my hobbies such as knitting and cross stitch. I was really excited last month when my doctor told me that it was time.

I saw the surgeon om Monday and they did test after test after test. I came home with red, watery eyes from all the drops they'd put in them. I'm still looking forward to getting them fixed so I can get back to doing the things I enjoy, but as the days fly by, I am getting nervous. I'm a bit squeemish about my eyes.

So, if I'm not posting as often or leaving comments regularly, forgive me. I'm a little distracted. I promise it will get better.

Best wishes! I'm sure you'll have a flock of nurses and companions while you recover.

Hopefully, I'll have red bandana photos in the next week...

Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you have your surgery. Hope everything goes well. g

Good luck. I know several people that this surgery has really helped. It's no fun when your eyes hurt or you can't see well, so I wouldn't be on the computer much, either, if I were you.

Good luck - I know it will go great. One of my dear friends, who is 90 years old, had cataract surgery and now doesn't even need glasses for anything.

Cataract surgery is a good part of aging! If they didn't have it, eventually we would all be stumbling around falling all over each other. This is a good, good thing, just relax and enjoy it, and do precisley what the Doc tells you!

Cheers,
Jo, whose had both eyes done!

We are having such lovely weather in Scotland - it makes a change to have dry dogs!
We will try and do bandana shots if we can find something red!
It is always a thought having any procedure done on your eyes but in fact our mum's friend has just had this surgery - she says it is well worth it!
It will soon be over in time for summer.
love and kisses

I'm squeamish about eyes, too, so my thoughts are with you. Hope it's over soon, so you have less time to think about it!

Fantastic sky photos.

Hope you've put down another layer or straw for the pups.

Know many people who've had eye surgery, and all Very successful. They WILL give you something to calm your nerves!

The sky has been like that here, too.

You will breeze through your surgery and be so glad when it's over.

Beautiful pics! I'll be thinking about you and praying for a speedy recovery from your eye surgery. My parents had the surgery (laser) on both eyes and they did great and could see soooo much better after that.

I'm sorry you are having trouble with your eyes but at least you are able to afford going to the drs to take of your cataract issues. I'm sure you have plenty of people who care enough about you to help you recuperate so you can get back on your feet soon!

Our Gwandma had cataract surgery last summer. She is very happy with the results. She only has to wear glasses for reading. Now we can smother her with poodle kisses without her complaing of glass smudges!
