An Explanation

Sometimes, just when I think I have things under control, life throws me a curve and I find myself back where I started.

I haven't been around to blog this week. Rob had a medical emergency Monday evening and I've been running back and forth between home and the hospital all week. Up early to get dogs fed and in and out, then off to the hospital to meet with doctors. Home in the middle of the day to get dogs settled, then back to the hospital. Home in the evening to feed dogs and get them ready for the night, any household tasks that can't wait, then sleep for three or four hours before starting all over again.

Rob came home yesterday afternoon, so I'm trying to dig my way out of the mess this has all created. Now at least I don't have to run across town, but I still have to deal with doctors and insurance companies and taking care of a man who is an impatient patient. I feel like crawling into Bailey's hole.

My fantasy now is taking a hotel room and sleeping for 48 hours straight. Anyway, I'll be back as soon as I get control of things again and to my prize winners, be patient. I haven't forgotten you, but things are a little delayed.

I thought you had sort of gone missing but wasn't quite sure. Blessings to Rob and hope his good health makes a complete come-back! I am glad he is home so it is a little easier on you. This is the time I wish I was your neighbor, so I could offer some REAL help.

Cheers,

Be kind to you. It's hard enough taking care of 10 dogs, add in a sick man and your fears and worries and it's nearly impossible. :) g

Oh, we are so sorry to hear that. You take your time. We've been there - recently. It's exhausting, too. Wish Rob a speedy and complete recovery, don't take any doo-doo from the insurance company, and take your time to get back to normal. And don't let blogging be an added pressure. It'll all be here when you have time.

lotsa licks, Lola

Sue, I hope Rob is feeling better. I know, too well, how hard it is to take care of a large pack of dogs by yourself. And sometimes husbands think they are the sickest people in the world. I started to put LOL but it's not a laughing matter, but sometimes one must laugh to keep from crying. I hope it all gets better for you soon - I can empathize.

Oh dear, we are just reading this now. I hope that everything is OK. Yuh, momma says the same thing. Just when she thinks things are in hand something unexpected happens. I guess that's life.

Wishing you peace and rest. Most men are "bad" patients, aren't they? Thinking of you, Rob and the rest of your pack!
