Mother Nature has been in a very bad mood lately. This morning while watching the news I saw reports of flooding in the Midwest, wild fires in the Southwest, an earthquake in New Zealand and a volcano erupting in Chile. Wow! Those are some temper tantrums that she's been throwing.
And don't forget the tornadoes in Joplin, Sedalia, Tuscaloosa and Springfield Mass.
But even when Mother Nature is being a brat, she does some things very right. This year, even with all the bad stuff going on, she presented us with my favorite season, Spring. This is why I love Spring.
This is our tree in winter.
Here it is in Spring. Don't you prefer the flowered version?
Look what's in the tree.
Here is a little bit older version of those babes.
Living in the woods behind our house are wild turkeys........
.... and deer.
In the neighboring pastures are new families of cattle.......
......and bison.
So even though we endure unpredictable weather, Spring brings these beautiful sights and they make me happy.
Don't forget to send your green pictures. Friday is the 10th and I need the photos by mid day Thursday to get them posted.

That photo of the babies in the nest is just delightful. So much potential!
It's been a crazy start to the year.....but you're right Mother Nature is beautiful...between tantrums.

Mother nature has been in a nasty mood lately but then she makes up for it by bringing on the most spectular flower displays! Nature is so beautiful and amazing!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Oh deer. They're on my poopy list right now. No, they haven't eaten my lilies - yet - but two walks in a row, I've had to turn around pre-maturely because "we" stirred up deer and Sissy is QUITE a handful when she wants to HUNT. Grrr.
Love the renewal theme. And LOVED the baby bison!!
Rottie Kisses!!
Mother Nature needs a swift kick in her rear........
The first picture is a girl bison to the left and a boy bison to the right! I learned to tell them apart at the buffalo ranch in Wyoming! I love the baby pictures. We have a pair living in my walled garden right now, who Dan has dubbed "Friend Deer" and "Baby Deer". they are cute, although they're wreaking havoc on my shrubs! If I had planted my garden already, it would be toast.
Awww... it sure is baby season!! BOL
You have fascinating neighbors!

The Springfield, MA tornado did tremendous damage in the very neighborhood where our Mom and Dad lived for years and years. Many of their friends are suffering terribly from the destruction. Hard to believe it happened there. Mom heard LA had a small earthquake yesterday and St. Louis today. Now she has to worry about our human brother and family in the LA area. Hope that small one isn't a precursor to a bigger one.
Your Spring images are so refreshing. We don't have anything green that we are willing to wear:( We'll keep thinking.

I adore all photos of birds, specially chicks, they are so vulnerable.won't make it for 'green' day, too hectic here still. willcome and visit to see all the entries though.

Tail Wuggles, Rubie.
Thanks for sharing these pictures of the beauty of spring! The bison, deer and birds are amazing! Are there really bison in your backyard? That is really cool. It's good to be reminded of the beauty that nature can be. It's easy to turn on the news and see all the destruction that nature can bring, but we often for get it's beauty. Thanks for the breath of fresh air! Not to forget those effected by the tragic natural disaster, they are in our thoughts and prayers. We should lend a hand however we can!
