World Environment Day

Today is World Environment Day. The United Nations declared June 5th to be a widely celebrated global day for positive environmental action.

We love our yard. There are lots of ways that we can show it
We try to keep our yard neat by cleaning up after windy days knock branches out of the trees.

Everyone has to pitch in and help.

It's important to keep our yard neat and clean so we can all enjoy it.

In the summer the little plants get dry and thirsty so we have to give them drinks to keep them green and healthy.

We  keep trash in this container and help Dad put it out for the men who pick it up in the big truck. Then we bark at them to tell them "Thanks".

We take time to smell the flowers  and tell the trees that we appreciate them.

We teach the younger generation to appreciate them, too.

We think about ways to help our yard and the planet stay healthy.

We show our love for our yard every day.

We think every day should be Environment Day.

Your dogs are better trained round the garden than mine - he just pees on my herbs and tramples the flowers!

A green, clean environment is better for all, isn't it? Dogs included.

What a lovely idea, I am not sure if there is anything like this in the UK but I think this is something that should happen everywhere, our gardens can be wonderful places for humans and pets.

You guys are very helpful around the yard! Mom says stick duty is very important so the grass can get mowed safely. Nice work, guys!

Love ya lots

i do help "water" my yard each and everyday but somehow the grass will turn yellow after a while. I don't know why but i do try and help.. and sometimes leave big brown bundles for the earth too... but after a while... they stink! *BOL* but i love my grass and my sunnies. I sneak a roll or two while SHE hangs out the laundry to dry.

woofs n licks,

I'm late getting here to your blog, but I totally agree with you! We really try to take care of our little corner of the world too, because we want it to be healthy for a long, long time!
