Making A List

Hi everybody,
Mom and I have some good stuff to tell you about today. This is important because if you're like us, you're getting your Christmas list together for Santa. We know some of the stuff on the list without even thinking too hard. We want lots and lots of treats. But we always get new toys at Christmas and that takes more thought.

Well, the other day a nice lady named Miss Ariana contacted Mom. She's with the Kyjen Company and wondered if we'd like to try out one of their toys for a review. We told Mom to say yes.  So a few days later the big truck man delivered this big box. Inside were two toys. Mom will tell you the rest.
We chose the Hide A Squirrel because I love toys that require them to think. This has three cute little squirrels, though I think they look more like chipmunks, nesting in a tree stump. They need to take the squirrels out to squeak them.
I was interested in working with Kyjen because a couple years ago I bought one of their hedgehog toys for my dogs for Christmas. I got it because it was cute. They absolutely loved it! It was the most popular toy that Christmas and they all wanted to play with it. I wished at the time that I'd gotten several. I think part of the appeal was the disgusting grunting noise that it made. I told Ariana about the experience and she sent along another hedgehog, a big one.
We placed the box on the porch, then went to assemble the testers. Everyone except Sydney took part. Syd doesn't always play well with others.
They were eager to get started.
First examine the box.
Bailey, our resident toy expert thought the squirrel tree was interesting. She carried it around for awhile and took a couple of squirrels out.
Sebastian went right for the hedgehog.
Then Mackey saw the Hide A Squirrel and negotiated with Bailey to get it for herself.
Meanwhile Fudge spotted the hedgehog.
Those two loved the toys. Fudge trotted around the porch with the hedgehog in his mouth making disgusting noises. Then he settled down on the porch to concentrate on make hedgie squeal.
Mackey was busy removing squirrels from the tree.

She thought they were all out when she spotted another one and went in after it.
These kept them busy for a long time.
If you're considering a new toy purchase for the holidays, the Hide A Squirrel is adorable and it kept my dogs interested for quite a while, though I had to put the squirrels back in the tree. They only take them out, a lot like their toy box. But still the very favorite with this pack is the grunting Hedgehog. All my dogs want to play with it.
Kyjen is a super company to deal with. We bought our swim vests from them and when we had a problem with a fastener on one, I contacted the customer service department. They sent a new vest out immediately, no questions asked. From that time I've really liked everything we've gotten from them and the people are very responsive. You can check out their products at Kyjen.com besides toys they have lots of useful items including the Slo Bowl for fast eaters. We have one and it works.

So when you're making your list, remember these fun toys along with lots of treats.
Your pal, Fudge

I think my son Patrick's Australian Cattle Dog, Thatcher, might just enjoy Squeaky Hedgehog. And Patrick deserves to listen to plenty of disgusting hedgehog noises. The squirrel tree is adorable!

We have a 'burping' sheep....but we took the burp out. We think we'd like that hedgehog.

We don't play with toys much, so we're hoping for TREATS!

Sounds like all kinds of fun, Fudge. I have a toy that is the hideaway type, but its pretty old, it has BEES in a hive and I love it.

Cheers,

Fred loved grunting toys, and Gretchen will play with anything, for at least a few minutes. Sissy just wants to take whatever Gg has and remind us all she's the Queen...
