Water Is Our Middle Name

It has been hot and humid here between thunder storms. Why do thunder storms seem to happen at night. Is it just Mother Nature's way of keeping us awake?

We went out for lunch yesterday and on the way home we had to brake to let this mother turkey and her three turkettes cross the street. I was so interested in watching her that I forgot I had my camera in my lap. That's why I only caught a picture of her when she was already across and heading into the woods.

Back at the ranch the PWaterDs wanted to play outside. It was uncomfortable, so of course we reached for the hose.

This is her favorite thing to do, be hit in the face with a stream of cold water. Are these dogs crazy?

Now you can see why I leave the dogs inside when I need to water the garden.

Every time we pick up the hose we get this loony group of dogs jumping in the air and begging to get sprayed.

Filling the pool seemed like a good idea to everyone, human and canine.

Once the pool was full Rob thought he could move the hose. Wrong!

He gave up and stuck the hose on top of the tower.

They don't care what form it takes as long as it's water. Down the tower, in the pool or straight from the hose.

I guess I should have realized when I started raising WATER dogs that they might be attracted to water. I never thought it would be a total obsession.

I have a feeling this will be a recurring theme on your blog this summer. :)

That is too cute! My girls run from the hose - they DO NOT LIKE the water hose at all. A pool of water, OK; but a stream of it, No thank you.

How happy they all are and all it takes is a bit of water...we humans could learn a lot from them!

You guys are so good with the dogs. Aren't they fun? I wish mine played in water like that, but ours don't have any middle names - next time. . . . .

Whenever I think of dogs with curly fur, I think of them as being serious and prissy (probably a poodle stereotype, although I am NOT comparing your PWD to poodles)...anyways, it's so funny to see your doggies get so excited about water and act so silly!
I love it!

Do your dogs get spooked by thunder? Thor sure does; then he cowers at my feet. He also likes to drink from the hose. Of course, the little boys like to assist him in that endeavor, getting themselves soaked in the process.
