Something Fun

Hi everybody. Sorry we haven't posted in a few days. Thursday evening Rob and I attended the monthly meeting of the Dog Training Club. It was a short meeting and might have been a bit boring except that Fudge went with us and Fudge is never boring. He made some new friends and showed off his tricks for them, then he joined the group for cake.

The next morning I woke up feeling lousy. It' my fourth bout with strept since Thanksgiving. I thought it was over, I'd spent two months feeling good, then out of the blue, it's back again. The sore throat, swollen glands, fever and aches are all back, plus the antibiotics I have to take for it upset my stomach. Consequently I spent the weekend in bed and Rob managed the dogs when they weren't curled up all around me.

I'm feeling a little better today, good enough to eat a little and get dressed and look at the computer. I don't feel like doing a whole long post, so I'm going to recommend another blog for you to check out.

This post by Petsitgal will leave you smiling and humming. What more could we ask for? After you enjoy it, leave her a comment.

I hope to be back tomorrow with a more interesting post.

Hi Sue:

I would love to wish that bad stuff away for you, but I guess you just have to stick it out! Let us know how you are doing, won't you?

To end with a nice smile from Tsar, is very nice for me!

Kisses,
Stella

Fudge is never boring, to be sure. But Tsar has a special place in my heart.

Is your strep caused by tonsils? That happened to my son Patrick 2 years ago, and after 6 bouts in as many months, I shipped him off to a surgeon to have the tonsils yanked. He was such a baby about the pain. I told him to suck it up (which I wouldn't say to you)!

It was the cake! Gave you a sore throat - should have let Fudge eat your piece.

Hope you are feeling 100% soon. g

Hope you are feeling better. One of our human sisters has had strep four times too since Thanksgiving. Doctor wants her to have her tonsils out, but she knows how painful this can be as an adult. Her doctor said it is possible that someone in her family is harboring the bacteria but not developing the strep. If she gets it again soon, the whole family will be tested. Hope you feel better soon.

Sue, I sympathise about the antibiotics that upset your stomach - I've been on that roundabout for a year. One things fixed and then the other problem flares up. I wish you a complete recovery.

Thanks for the link to the 'ears' song. I loved it.

Hi Sue,
I've been meaning to thank you for your sweet comments in regards to my "Do Your Ears Hang Low?" blog post. My doggie clients, Buster the cat, and Daisy all have their own unique personalities (and ears, of course) and I thought "Do Your Ears Hang Low?" fit them perfectly. I agree that the song (and the cute pups and kitty) is like a good medicine and can cheer anyone out of a bad mood and I am flattered that you read my post when you needed a dose of silliness.
I am so sorry you have had strep throat so often! I had strep throat once and I was completely miserable...couldn't eat....all I wanted to do was sleep. I hope you will ask your doctor why you have had so many throat issues and I hope he/she can help you!

It's good to hear from you. We've been taking it easy with blogging, too, though we don't have the sickness that you do. Feel better!

Momma is wondering if you still have your tonsils. Hers turned on her when she was in her twenties and they had to come out. Ouch! Hope you are feeling better.

Great to see your handsome boys - well, a couple of them anyway - this morning. Sorry you're under the weather again.

As a child, I had chronic strep. Interestingly, when the cocker died, I've only had strep once since. It seems she was a carrier, so as soon as I came off the antibiotics, she gave me another round.
