Hot Lazy Days

It certainly is hot! Are you all managing to stay cool?

We go out early and late and try to avoid the middle of the day. The dogs seem perfectly content to snooze inside during this heat. I haven't been a total slug, though.

I recently completed this pillow which is a raffle prize for an upcoming agility trial. Here's the back. I just love that print.

And here's the front.
When it was finished I started this piece for myself. It came from a Russian magazine and was fun to do even though I couldn't read a word of the instructions. I like the way it turned out and I hope to do another Russian piece soon.
So how do your pets like to keep cool? This is one of our favorite ways.
Around here it's cool to be wet.

We keep cool by staying INSIDE! Give me air conditioning, thank you!

We are with Casey. Right on top of the cool air vents. Lightning is completely blocking one right now. We have big thunder boomers overhead now but not one single drop of precious rain:(

My mom took me to a self-serve dog wash place to get cool and before that I played at dog park but spent most of my time sniffing the breeze in the shade.

That is a beauteous pillow. Love the back too and the Russian piece you finished. The Hot days must be good for something....look at all the needlework you got done. Some of us like the water and some of us tolerate it. Our dog/kiddie pool has a leak and isn't working so M & D are gonna have to get us a new one.

In the words of Mr. Bill: toohot, toohot, toohot!

We don't have ac anymore, so we just set up a group of fans, and enjoy the breezes. Nightfall finds the temp in the 60s to mid 60s and that is a nice relief.

I love your x-stitch pillow, just wonderful and can't imagine anyone who wouldn't be thrilled to get it!

Stella

We're cold and wet over here in England, it's a very rainy English summer. But soon we'll be in France, in the heat we hope :)

That pillow is stunning - as all of yours are.

We stay cool by wearing cool collars and walking in the very early mornings or right at dusk, but it's sometimes too hot then too!

Howdy Porties, we are toooo cool at the moment. Send us some of your heat will ya mates. In summer we keep cool when dad puts some bags of ice in our little pool then we can eat and walk in it! No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

Love the cross stitch - both of them. The paw print fabric is one of my favorites too.

Hmmm - we stay cool by living in Washington. g

Jed camps out on the AC vent in the kitchen; it's the only one in the house with an unobstructed view into the yard through the French doors. Abby plants herself, tummy up, under the ceiling fans.

Your needlework is exquisite. Really love the Russian one.

How is Sebastian doing, now that he's settled in?
