Under Attack

Sebastian has a new hobby.
He finds an area in the yard with little or no grass ( not hard to do) and rolls in the dirt.
He rolls till he's covered with dust and leaves and twigs.
We try to discourage this, but he does it almost every time we go outside, but he doesn't always get to enjoy it.
 What are you doing, Sebastian?
Don't you want to play with us?
Get lost, kid.
Aww, come on and play.
Can't you two little pests leave a guy alone?
That's better.
No dogs were harmed in this little interaction. Yes, Sebastian does have Syd's entire head in his mouth, but he doesn't apply any pressure. He's just reinforcing earlier lessons in manners. Ask before you pounce.

His own dust bowl. Those pups do have to learn to leave him alone to roll and roach. But those pups are so cute.

Since I don't have to brush him after his rolls, I'm so glad Sebastian found you. I desperately wanted Sissy to be a little firmer with baby Gg, but still 5 years later, Mama-Sis allows the brat to play far too rough and just looks to the humans to rein her in.

Sebastian is a dog after Wrigs's own heart. Wrigs adores rolling in debris, then bringing it inside to deposit on the floor and couch. That may be one of the things he's missing the most right now during his "incarceration."

Forgot to say, maybe Sebastian would like to come and roll around here in red mud :-) :-) x x x You could have an entirely different coloured dog :-) x

Pack manners and dynamics are to me, always an interesting thing to watch, and try to figure out.

I wanted to tell you that I've appreciated your words of support and friendship on Sunny's issues. I think we've been on the same road with our pups, and I hope you are able to find a resolution with your girl. If I can be a sounding board, or cyber shoulder, please know that I am here and I know what you are going through.

That's a really cute sequence of photos. I'm betting Sebastian just rolls so he can get extra brushing time. And it's a good thing he's there to teach those kids some manners. Sheesh! Kids these days!
