Guess what arrived in the mail today! Our red nose arrived from Scotland. Unfortunately it was a week late. Thanks, Postal Service. It doesn't matter, we came in second in the Red Snooters contest. Thank you to all who voted for us. Nicky and her gang Snoop, Alfie, Rosie and Gabbi also sent some treats for us, so we are happy pups.
In keeping with our new motto 'Life Is Good' we present some examples that we came across today.
Tess found a good place to roll.
Everyone was interested in watching her enjoy herself.
It's a beautiful, sunny day with temps in the high 50's, so we headed for the zoo. When we arrived the usual greeters were absent. No geese or peacocks met us at the entrance to escort us around.
This is why. It's spring and the greeters are nesting. This momma goose is on her nest filled with down to keep her eggs warm.
This daddy duck came to warn us to stay away from his lady and their nest.
The turtles were sunning themselves on logs.
The carp were still busy begging for food. We bought some and tossed it to them. Usually the ducks would come swimming up to compete for the pellets, but today they were all too busy on their nests.
This little fellow had just had lunch and was grabbing a siesta in the sun.
This handsome boy came to let Rob scratch his head.
There was a sign posted that the otter is inside with her new babies. Her mate, however, seemed very glad to see us.
The lady Gibbon was just relaxing in the grass. She would pick a handful of grass and lazily chew on it, all the while hanging onto her escape rope.
Her mate was just hanging around.
This couple is strolling through the spring flowers.
Enjoy your weekend.
