4th Annual Easter Something Hunt

Happy Easter!! Did the Easter Bunny come by your house? He lives here at ours.

Did you ever see such a handsome Easter bunny?

Can I take these silly things off now?

The bunny left a basket full of goodies for Rob.

He also left lots and lots of tiny little carrots in the yard for the fur kids to find.

They were stuck on the tower and on top of the toad stools.

They were on the steps and laying right out in the straw.

The first year we did an Easter hunt, Monty was the big winner much to my surprise. Lucy and Samba did well, too. Morgan was clueless and just wandered around behind the others.

Last year Tess couldn't find them and we had to help her. I handed her a couple, then showed her where to look for a couple more. She caught on and this year she knew just what to do.

Lola thinks there might be some on the tower.

Yes, she was right. She cleaned off one side of the tower before anyone else saw her.

Sky at first wanted to play ball, but then he noticed that the others were eating carrots and he started looking for his share.

Noah was having a tough time. He wasn't finding many and when he did find one, someone else grabbed it before he could get it.

Carrots must not have a very strong scent for a dog. They walked right by them sometimes and had to go back over the same ground several times before they found them all. There's one right in front of Norma Jean.

She found it.

Fudge spots one, but he's still chewing.

Got it!

At first Tsar felt too dignified to join in, but he couldn't resist.

We fed a couple to Noah because he was getting depressed. He wanted to play, but wasn't sure how to find the carrots.

Morgan know it's there somewhere.

Found it!

Fudge found a couple hiding in the rocks.

Look, Noah found one all by himself.

He was excited about it and let us all know.

There are still a few carrots left.

But not for long.

Lola saw them first.

But Noah's on a streak now and he saw them, too.

They ran over to thank Rob for this great game.

Sky thinks this was so much fun.

If you're wondering if the Easter Bunny forget me, the answer is no.

The bunny brought me a cherry tree to replace the one that we lost in the ice storm three years ago. I'll be able to see this one from the porch and the dining room windows.

Here's my Easter Bunny.

What did you have to promise YOUR Easter Bunny to get him to pose in the Ears?

Just curious.

Thor got an Easter basket, just like the youthful humans! His contained peanut butter sandwich. But he wouldn't wear the ears.

Happy Easter to all of you!

What a nice bunny you have - both versions! I had planned a carrot hunt for the girls at the farm, but alas, Sissy's toenail injury and Gretchen's Xanax drunk made it impossible...
