Santa Was Here

Merry Christmas everyone. It's been a long day here and I'm hoping for an early bedtime. This morning when we got up everyone was watching for Santa because he hadn't been here yet.

After breakfast Rob took the dogs onto the porch to look for reindeer tracks.

When they came back in they discovered that the sneaky old guy had been here while they were outside.

The toy box was full.

There were lots of new toys all around and everyone found something to play with.

This was Sebastian's first Christmas with us and he seemed a little confused at first, but he loves toys and he found several to his liking.

Everyone had to show us what Santa brought them.

Fudge has a new lion.

Bailey has a new white puppy.

Everyone was excited.

Then it was our turn to open presents. The dogs were helpful as always.

Santa was good to us but I think the old gentleman needs a hearing aid. I asked for a pony and he brought me a cold. I know they're both four letter words but I really could have done without this particular gift. In the spirit of giving, I shared it with Rob.

All was not lost though. I'm a hockey fan and this year there has been no hockey because of disagreements between owners and players. So that I wouldn't be sad about missing my favorite sport, Santa brought me an air hockey game.

And look at this, I received Royal Mail. How nice of the Queen to remember me in this busy season.

When all the presents were opened, everyone settled down to play with the new toys.

 Sometimes it was hard to decide which toy to play with next.

 Everyone agreed that Christmas is a lot of fun.

 We hope Santa was very generous at your houses, too and that his little hearing problem didn't cause any disasters.
