Mom's Surprise

Hi Everybody, Fudge here.
We wanted to do something special for our Mom. She's been taking good care of us when we were sick and she was very sad after Samba and Sky went across the bridge. Then Noah and I got sick and Mom's been making special food for us and giving us our medicine and taking us to the doctor, so we wanted to do something for her, but we don't have any money.
We knew Mom's birthday was coming and she always has parties for us on our birthdays so we thought we could get her something nice, but we don't have any money.
I asked Dad if I could borrow his plastic card and go online shopping, but he didn't think that was a good idea. He said he'd help us get Mom something for her day. He did it. He came home with a bunch of stuff and he took us all to the garage, except the puppies, and let us help him wrap Mom's presents. Look at them all and they're wrapped in doggie paper, too.
This morning when she got up and saw all these things on the table, she was real surprised and happy. The first thing she saw was a letter from Samba that made her cry, but then we had her open the special one from us and she laughed. See it's a bunch of little stampers with letters on them. We paid with biscuits and left our change in the box. She said we can have our change back later today.
Dad gave Mom a pretty bracelet which is kind of a dog collar for her arm. He also had the names of our dogs and birds who live across the bridge engraved on a special art piece that will hang in our living room so we can feel them here with us. Now we just need some cupcakes and this will be a great party.

Your pal, Fudge

Happy Birthday Sue!

My dogs (or cats) never get me presents...but I guess they probably figure they are the best presents anyway--which is true. Still....
