Where Did I Leave That Box?

Rob carried a box of papers outside. He burned the papers in the chiminea and came back inside.

When I asked him where the empty box was, he said he must have left it outside.

We went to get it and this is what we found.

Our little helpers had seen the box and decided it was up to them to dispose of it.

They take this job very seriously, as you can see.

By the time we got outside, it was divided into many sections.

Everyone got in on the act.

It's very important to get this box under control.

This is almost as much fun as those paper airplanes.

There was some teamwork involved.

Mostly it was each individual working on his or her section.

Fudge showed us what he thought about the whole box project.

He'd rather play ball.

Be sure to drop in on Dogs On Thursday and meet lots of other dogs and their owners. Don't forget to leave comments for them.

Hehehehe, cardboard box rocks!

We help our chief shred old newspapers - which unfortunately goes unappreciated!

Isn't it great how, like kids, sometimes the toys that keep dogs occupied the longest are free? Rufus LOVES empty water bottles. He'll chase them and crush them for hours on end. And they last longer than stuffies around our house.

Fudge is sensible. You had plenty of help controlling that box! And Rob just didn't want to tear it into small enough pieces to fit into the chimnea, or so I heard!

Oh goodness! Sissy can't see this post. She likes cardboard a lot too. Gretchen's with Fudge; she'd rather play with her own toys, thanks much... you know, the stuff the humans have to buy for her.

Such good helpers. Who needs shredders with helpers like that around?

Sue, please send some creative vibes my way. I'm feeling like a short-attentioned, dried-up well!!

Love the doggie pics as usual here! I forgot how a puppy can drive you absolutely bonkers - that's part of my problem right now.....

Why do we pups love cardboard so much? You guys ought to come here on trash day - it is usually a very windy day and all the recycling boxes blow into our yard. Mom has to hustle to pick them up before we have fun with them. Well, OK, "we" means me, Thunder.

hi porty cousins....we saw two porties at the macdonalds today...a grownup and a pup..very cute. nice dogs! love the new portuegese shredding machines-- you guys are good....
to answer the question about fireworks...we aren't bothered by them at all.. our humomm brings us to her sculpture studio a lot -- especially, during our growing up years...so noise is just noise..
when we got our cgc's -- they dropped chairs and banged pots and we looked at the chairs etc, then the people as if to say...what is your problem??? is that all you can do for noise? like, bring it on folks. so nope ...guess farm dogs would go hunting w/the crofters in ireland too. ;O}--nerves of steel.

I think they were trying to make giant-sized cardboard airplanes out the box. I love how you caught Fudge in the midst of his box whiz, too funny. You got some great shots! Such cute big cuddly pooches you have! :)
