A Musical Interlude

Here's a new song for you. Please relax and enjoy.

Said the Yorkie to the Collie Pup,

"Do you see what I see?
Sitting near the tree, Collie Pup.
Do you see what I see?
A cat, a cat
Sitting near the tree.
Would you like to chase it with me?
We can chase it right up that tree."

Said the Collie Pup to the Labrador,

"Do you hear what I hear?
In that pile of toys, Labrador,
Do you hear what I hear?
A squeak, the sound of a brand new toy.
Join me for a search and destroy.
We can find it and fix that new toy."

Said the Labrador to the Basset Hound,

"Do you smell what I smell?
Coming from the stove, Basset Hound.
Do you smell what I smell?
The scent, the scent
Of bacon in the air,
We can reach it from up on a chair.
Help me move the chair over there."

Said the Basset Hound to the gentle Dane,

"Do you know what I know?
Stuff on tables are for us, gentle Dane.
Do you know what I know?
Pizza, cookies and even meats,
They are all just meant to be treats.
We can help ourselves to some treats."

Said Miss Norma Jean to the audience,
"That's the end of our song.
Thanks for coming by, audience.
That's the end of our song.
We really love singing songs for you,
And it's best if you sing it, too.
So for now we'll say toodle-loo."

Well, there you have our newest song. We want to thank our friends who helped us with it, Mr Pip the Yorkie, Minty the Collie Pup, Dexter the Labrador, Miss Sissy the Basset and Rory the Dane. We hope you enjoyed a little relaxation in this busy season.
Now back to the rush, Norma Jean the Portie Queen

From the mom - I am sitting here at work, going through my blogger reading list and I see a brief snippet of your post - I was intrigued - I HAD to read more. So creative - LOVE IT! Shiloh'n The Diva Shasta would love to join in chasing that kitty up a tree and smelling/eating that bacon. Wonderful lyrics - I had no problem singing it (to myself of course here at work) to the tune of "Do You Hear What I Hear"

What a great song! I'll have to sing it to the fur-girls when I get home. Of course... Sissy was cruising for sausage earlier this week, so maybe she doesn't need any encouragement!

Oh, this is one of my favorites! My assistant will be humming this all night. I do like to chase a cat once in awhile ...actually sometimes my feline sister, Rosie, chases me, but don't tell anyone!

Very clever doggie carroll! Abby will happily join in the cat chasing, too.

How is Sebastian? Did he have some kind of abscess in addition to the cyst? Infer WonderVet cleared out as much of the scar tissue as possible. Sure hope Sebastian's feeling better and is keeping accident free.

And how is Fudge? He seems to be taking the losses the hardest of the 4-legged pack members. Some doggies mourn longer and harder than others. Mama saw that with her Danes.

And mazel tov to the Queen Portie! We're sure Mama Samba is smiling down on you proudly from over the Bridge. Now that the Succession is settled, hope the pack is settling, too.

And our mama has brain freezes all the time, so don't worry if your mom has an occasional incident. As long as they remember to feed us and pet us and let us in and out and play with us and attend to our every need, it's ok.

Mama's Christmas present is that Jed's wound is finally looking like it may actually heal!
