The Remains Of The Day

If you read yesterday's post, you know the little girls had a busy morning, but it didn't end there. Once we got home and the girls had a short nap, we were at it again. A quick trip outside prompted the question, " who wants to visit the back yard?"
There is so much to do in the big back yard. First they had to check out the rocks and be sure they were all still in place.
Then they helped Dad rake dirt into a hole that Sebastian dug a few days ago. They were such good helpers that the job took twice as long.
The hole looked like a good idea so Sydney started a new one.
Then they discovered the old trampoline. Samba's puppies loved playing on and under this. You can see these girls have the same idea. Syd is on top and Mac is under.
They both climbed on it but weren't sure what to do.
Dad showed Mac how to bounce.
Finally Mac just couldn't keep going. She was a tired puppy and we carried her to her pen to take a nice long nap.
This morning we had a surprise. It snowed overnight. It looked pretty but there was just a slight covering, not enough for the dogs to play in. It warmed up fast and the snow disappeared fast. It was pretty while it lasted.
This morning Sebastian had to make another visit to Dr B. He ate dinner last night but while I was watching the Westminster Dog Show, just as the Portie was being judged, he threw it all up. Do you think that was a political statement?
Since this was the third day of stomach trouble I decided to check it out further. Ordinarily I might take a wait and see attitude but considering the strange illnesses we've dealt with lately, I wanted to keep on top of this. He's taking an antibiotic and some Pepto a couple times a day and he's a very happy dog because he's eating chicken and rice for a couple days.

We've had a couple of those "rude" snows that won't stay around too. In fact, I think one is predicted for tonight...

Paws crossed for Sebastian's tummy troubles.

Those pups sure are cute.

I think Sebastian was definitely making a statement! I love Porties, but I don't get the prissy poodle cut that one was sporting!
