I Just Can't Wait

OK, I know you've probably seen all the pictures of dogs swimming that you want to see. Too bad. I'm a proud dog mother and I have to pull out my wallet and show everyone a few more pictures.

These are some of the photos taken last week when we took Samba, Noah and Morgan to the lake. I was totally blown away with the way they just went in and started swimming like they'd been doing it all their lives.

It still amazes me that the genes overcome the fact that they've never seen a lake before.

I think Noah is one cool looking dude in his life jacket.

Orange is definitely his color.

I'll never forget seeing Samba and Morgan racing to get to the frisbee.

If you're still reading this far, let me warn you that tomorrow we're taking Lola and Bailey to the lake for the first time. Oh no, more swimming pictures!

Well, for a little change of pace, let me now ruin a Christmas surprise. Chan, you may not want to read any farther.

I made a Christmas gift the other night for Miss Gretchen. I didn't want to send it to her not knowing if it would fit, so I called my friend Linda who also has a Jack Russell Terrier names Chesney. Linda agreed to bring Chesney to work so I could try the gift on her.

Of course we took pictures and I can't wait till December to show them. So don't anybody tell Gretchen what she's getting for Christmas.

This is Chesney modeling the hat and scarf combo.

Isn't she an adorable model. Can you blame me for wanting to show these shots? Thank you Chesney, for helping me out.

Be sure to check out the poll about toys on Dogs-N-More. While you're there scroll down and read about Ellie, a dog that lives in prison all week, then gets to do cool stuff on the weekends, like going to the new Harry Potter movie.

I was all misty from seeing Morgan again. I don't know why, but that girl has my heart!! I'm so glad she gave the water a chance.

And Noah *IS* SUCH a handsome guy. I think he does orange so much justice that I can no longer say I don't like the color.

On my honor, I stopped reading when you said to, but it's killing me!

Okay - to Chan's post - wow! I never would have quit ready, I would have scrolled down and then pretended surprise. But I'm like that apparently.

Sue that is a fabulous gift. Sissy will be jealous. I think Noah is incredibly handsome in his orange vest with his shock of white bangs.

I am still just amazed and impressed with Morgan swimming. What a very clever girl. Think we are going to try and get ours to water this weekend. Just to help them cool off - I might have to wade in with wiggly bassets to get them wet. How will I take photos when I'm holding a wet dog? g

I know Chan will enjoy Gretchen's things. Gretchen being the patient little girl she is will enjoy them, too. Your crew make me tired just looking at the pictures!

We have never been anywhere to swim, but you sure make it look like fun. And that's a great hat but don't give our Mom any crazy ideas about more hats:)

This is just tooooooo cute for words! What a neat gift! P.S. Bring on the swimming pictures(as you probably know bassets sink like a stone so the most we get our wading pictures :-)) Love them!

Have a great day!

Another set of great pictures! The first time I was introduced to a big body of water I was a bit spooked, because I had never heard the roar of the ocean before. My second time visiting I ran into the water to get my ball before the ocean took it away forever.

Chesney is a great model. Sometimes we make Tagpi model things, but more for our amusement than anything else.

I love all the shots! They are really water dogs for sure! Orange is definitely Noah. What a cute model Chesney is!

Thanks so much for your comment! I feel the same way too now. I'm just so happy (and relieved!) just seeing the plant avoiding the dog long enough to bloom!
