More Water Fun

This should say 'Area Patrolled by Wet Portuguese Water Dogs'.

It has rained every day for about five or six days. What do my dogs want to do when the sun comes out? Play in the water, of course.

Samba is most excited by the hose. She loves to walk face first into the stream of water.

We have to keep telling her to wait so we can fill the pool.

She's waited as long as she can.

Everybody into the pool!

Noah wants to play, too.

You might ask " Where is Tsar while all this is going on?" He's hiding out in the garden hoping no one splashes him. Snow is his thing, not water.

When it's over this is the only way to get them out of the pool.

Do we have to stop? Can't you fill it again?

In case you wondered, this is what a wet PWD looks like.

And this.

How do we dry them? First they take a walk around the yard.

Then they finish off with a roll in the grass.

This takes care of a lot of the water. I have towels in the garage in case we need them, but with a single coat they actually dry pretty quickly.

Embracing their roots yet again. Who can blame the Portis for their water games? (Oh, and Marge doesn't blame Tsar for staying far away.. she hates the water, too.)

So, so fun to see your crew in the pool. They seem to have so much fun with one another and the water. Ah, the life of beloved pets!

Love those wet curls! Sissy has been trying to get in the bathtub all week. She does need a bath, but when I'm getting ready in the morning isn't the time to do it.

I love how purdy they look wet. Do they smell like nasty wet dogs too? See that's the problem with hounds - they always just smell like nasty wet dogs - even when they are dry. Yours are so freakin' cute! g

Tsar looks like a snow dog! Thor loves to drink from and play with the hose, but I don't know that he'd like the pool much!

The Portie's are just beautiful in their natural element!

And I can just imagine Tsar standing there and thinking that he is much too dignified and well-groomed to ever act like those big puppies!

hi sue.. yup looks mighty familiar!! our blue dogs love water -- we'll be having lots of pics soon of "the lake"...the "twins" mom, Ms.Blue is the best swimmer and literally goes nuts if we go in the lake w/o her. she will go out w/me for hours swimming along side, chasing a disc whatever, as long as she's in the water! (we put a pfd on her asap)theBUSTER is driven into the water for his wilsons and Ms.Persephone (is a closet swimmer <---not as many water hours as the other two)..anyhow my guys also have the blue skin (ie why they call them kerry blues <---) it's great to show people -- their reaction is priceless.
you need to dig a HUGE water pond out back.

Just loved watching them enjoy the water...our TinkaBelle loves her pool and will jump in when there's only an inch in it!

Made the "mistake" of rading your story about the Jack Russell and cried...my daughter has two. Hopefully, it ended well...in a way it did just by the fact that the owner is going to try to save that pup.

We have three cats and one puppy, all "rescues" in one way or another.

blessings,

marcy
