Check That Calendar

Friday was the first day of Spring. Saturday morning looked like this.

We had rain with snow on top of it. Then it changed to sleet and stayed that way Saturday night and all day Sunday. It was cold and wet and slippery and I didn't want to set foot outside.

The dogs were happy to see the snow and played in it for a while.

It was like greeting an old friend for them.

For them the best part was that the snow was icy and they love to chew on ice.

Once the sleet started, they were much less interested in staying outside.

Noah's tail is showing a little improvement. As you can see here, he can raise it a few inches now and he wags it stiffly.

Later on Saturday and all day Sunday they would run outside to take care of whatever, grab a mouthful of ice to chew on and come running back inside to dry off. It's hard to believe this is spring, but today the sun is shining and the temperature is heading up and maybe we're back on track.

Thor always enjoys the snow and ice for a little while, too. We toss him ice cubes in summer time, when he can't find any outside. I hope spring comes back for you!

Well, the snow must have disappeared to some where else, but that rain is about to move in here. That's spring for ya - always so unpredictable.

Yes, warmer here today too, and the pups are all sad because their snow is just about all gone:( But the yard is now a mess again - just totally saturated and more rain is on the way this week.

Glad to hear the tail is doing a little better.

We are down for rain tonight and maybe snow flurries. It doesn't bother us this time of year, because we know its on the down side!

Kisses,
Stella

I can hardly believe that you have more snow. That must be hard to take when your brain is in Spring time mode. Still the dogs look like they are really having a lot of fun.

Cute photos. I think Gretchen would have been crushed if we'd gotten the wintery mix some of our friends to the northwest got this morning. She's VERY happy it is spring.
