October is "Breast Cancer Awareness Month".
Tell your human Mom to schedule her mammogram if she hasn't already done it.
Most humans don't look forward to this, it's kind of like visiting the Vet for shots.
It's really important so that our humans will be with us and healthy forever.
Remind your Mom when she does her monthly self-exam, to check you, too.
It's easy. Just roll over for a belly rub and have Mom check for any tiny little bumps near your mammaries.
If she finds something, visit your vet to have it checked out. Do it regularly so we can stay healthy for a long, long time.

Thanks for posting this! I think most people have lost someone to breast cancer, so it is important we look out for each. (Even if it is just bloggers through the web.)
What a special public service announcement! My niece (2 years younger than I) is a breast cancer survivor, so I know the importance of being aware. Unfortunately, I often wait too long to go it this done! Thanks for the reminder to make an appointment.
Wonderful post to remind us Sue :) i never thought of checking the dogs... but now we only have 2 males doggies :) hope you have a good weekend with Rob and the gang!
Great post... great pics! What a wonderful way to remind people.
Great post! Wonderful reminder! Lots of love, Holly and mom
Wow! My girls are tickled and have VERY regular belly rubs, but no one had ever suggested I should also do mammaries exams...
I always check for lumps and bumps - but I wouldn't have thought breast cancer in dogs. Thank you for the reminder - I do need to schedule my smash too! g
You are such good public servants! My MD is trying right now to beat me into a colonoscopy; I just don't know how much fun I can stand all at once.
Outstanding PSA - thanks.

Yes it is and we will tell every buddy. Mom walked a billion miles a few times for that cause!

We sent our Lady this week. We know she has some kind of problems in that area and remind her that we need her. We (Bennie & Parker) even asked Julie not to call the Lady 'BigFoot' for a whole day when she got the mammogram. It's the lease we could do. When she got back home we all snuggled and had treats.
Thanks for reminding us by posting this.
What a great post! Thank you, Miss Sue!
Love ya lots

Thanks for the post- I am a 2-time breast cancer survivor and any time you can keep people thinking about it...is a good thing.
I found you on the sat pet hop- please come by and say hello and follow me back
Oh dear, mom hates those checkups, but I suppose it is that time again. Thanks for the reminder.
