Hello Fall

 Hi, I'm Tsar.

I don't enjoy the hot summer because I have a really heavy coat. In the summer I like to just stay inside where it's cool.

When the others are outside playing in the heat, I'm inside playing with toys and getting special treats.

But now Fall is here and the temperatures are cool and I can enjoy going outside to play.

The first thing I do is check for any squirrels in the trees or on my fence.

I check out the yard with the rest of the pack. Sometimes rabbits and raccoons come by at night . We have to know who's been here.

I like to chase the girls. They're really fast and I can't catch them, but it's fun to try.

I'm an excellent singer and I like to share my talent with the whole neighborhood.

Is everybody watching?

Mom says I'm a mess because in the spring and fall my coat comes out in big chunks to make room for my new coat. I leave big pieces of it on the floor and the furniture.

Mom also says I'm the most stubborn dog she knows. Do you believe that?  Next comes my very favorite season, Winter. I can't wait for the snow to come so I can lie down in it and roll around. Then Mom will have a hard time getting me back in the house.

Tsar, you remind me so much of my fuzzball sister, Cali! She loves fall too but loves laying in the snow the best!! I'm glad your seasons are finally here!

Of course you are stubborn because you are a, well, a CAT DOG, right? But gosh, you always seem to be smiling and of course you have the last laugh now that the cold weather is here.

LOL..Tsar, you're funny! We like cooler weather, too...but rolling the snow?! We've never seen snow, but momma says it's cold and wet, so we don't think rolling in it sounds fun.

Tsar, we think you're a grand, big guy. I - Sissy - shed the longer hairs (around my bum) in feathery clumps, as Fred did before me. Mama says you must be double-coated too?

Well, Tsar, we humans don't feel the same way about the winter because it means that we have to shovel snow so we can get to work (so we can afford to buy our doggies some healthy food) and we have to wear coats and gloves often but watching you sing and and roll in the snow makes up for the cold, dry weather anyday!
