Adjusting

We're trying to get the household back to normal. The pack is very aware that one of their members is missing and they're clinging to us. We move as one big group thru the house and even in the yard they stay close by.

In the morning I still look for Tsar in his usual spot. I count out too many cookies at treat time and have caught myself filling one too many bowls at dinner. I have to think twice when I sign emails from the dogs, it's no longer Morgan, Tsar and the Porties.

I really intended to sit at the computer and respond to each of you who sent emails and blog comments, but I find the tears starting up and I walk away. I'll  get to it, just not yet.

I did want to share one thing with you. Today we received a card from some special friends. I so love the front of the card that I had to share.
Isn't that a wonderful image?

I still look to put Thor out on my way to bed sometimes. And I still find myself looking for him when I come downstairs in the morning. It's a very hard adjustment to make. I'm glad you have Sky trying to help fill that void.

It's a beautiful card. We know the porties and Morgan know you need a bit more care.

It's takes time to adjust, Sue. I still find myself doing for 2 instead of just one. ((((hugs))))
I love the puppy cloud image!

That photo choked me up.

I still tell the boys good-bye when I leave the house, every single morning. But I also catch myself talking about them in the present tense sometimes too.

It's a beautiful image! I still miss Tommy the cat I told you about and he passed in 2009! And I still look for Sweet Pea, who passed away last September. It takes a long time ...go easy on yourself.

Oh Sue!!!!! A really busy and chaotic week has put me behind on reading blogs. I cannot begin to tell you how so, so sorry I am about the loss of your precious and beloved boy Tsar! I know what he meant to you, and I know you'll never entirely get over losing Tsar, but I hope you find peace and comfort in all your memories of him that can never be taken away...

We all still miss Dakota so much and it has almost been three years. Let the tears flow, take the time to heal, the emails can wait - we all understand the pain and sorrow.

We know Tsar is smiling down at you and loving that you keep wanting to give him treats.

They never really leave us. I still think about the cats I had when I was a teenager.

What a comforting, loving painting! Had not seen it before. It's wonderful.

The pain of loss is so acute, only the years of love that precede the loss make it bearable.

Hugs to you all.

Oh I am so sorry. Tsar was a very special "cat" dog and he will be missed. I know how hard it is on all of you. Dogs do mourn their missing pack members.

I am so very sorry for your loss, I know what you are going through right now. I also find myself counting out too many treats and getting four plates out for food rather than three. No matter how many have gone before it never gets any easier does it ? But the support of all the dog bloggers goes a long way to help ease what we are going through I have found.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

We were very sorry to learn that Tsar had gone to the Rainbow Bridge. He will always live in your heart and one day those memories will bring smiles instead of tears.

What a huge shock this was for me to see this today. I wish you both and all the gang my heartfelt sympathy. It must be like having a limb cut off, I can only imagine it. So sorry Sue. Look upwards, always look upwards.

We didn't know Tsar, but we ache for your loss nevertheless. When one of us says good bye to a dear friend, we all feel it in our hearts and souls.

Hi All, there's always something to remind you of a loved one who has passed but that's our way of remembering them, sometimes with tears, sometimes with laughter. Take care and hugs to everyone. No worries, and love, Carol (and Stella and Rory)

We read about Tsar on Mango's blog and wanted to drop in and say that we're very sorry that you've lost him. Mom says we dogs just don't live long enough.

The cloud image is amazing! It does take time to adjust. I don't think I will ever stop tearing up when I hear another has crossed the bridge. Every time I see a black dog I can feel the tears starting. Hugs to you!!

I am so sorry I did not see this until yesterday and even then I did not have time to comment. I did go back and read you previous post with pictures of Tsar – what a happy boy he was. He reminds me of a big teddy bear and no wonder you loved him so much – such a sweetie he just had to be. Yes, it will take time to adjust - seek out the rest of your pack - you will help each other - I know when my little Oreo crossed the Bridge, the Beaglebratz helped me immensely.
