Merry Christmas!

No, I haven't been drinking  nor do I have a head injury. We celebrated Christmas yesterday. I'll explain.
Each year we and our dogs celebrate Christmas with J and T and their dogs Splash, Grace and Runtley. Their family went away early in December and only returned last month. Normally we would have celebrated in November, but last November was awful for me and I wasn't ready to party, so we waited.

Yesterday was the day. We planned to drive to the lake to visit, then the four of us would go out for a nice holiday lunch. We had hoped to take Morgan, Sebastian and the the puppies, but the weather forecast was for a hot day with thunder storms. We didn't want to leave Morgan and Sebastian in the car so they stayed home. J had a crate available for the pups to stay in while we went out to eat.
I was a little concerned about taking Syd and Mac to visit because their manners still need a little work. No, make that a lot of work. I was afraid they would race around at top speed, crashing into things, pull things off tables and possibly have an accident in the house. None of those things happened.
The girls were on their very best behavior and I only wish they'd be that good here at home. They were friendly and played nicely with the other dogs. Splash and Grace, being Porties, looked somewhat familiar to them, but they were fascinated with Runtley.
They wanted to be friends with Runtley since she's more their size than the others, but Runtley is tough. She sets the rules and her rules are that all toys on the premises are hers. It kept her busy running around collecting toys and hiding them under the chair. I'm sure she was tired at the end of the day.
We exchanged gifts and had a lovely lunch and chatted and  laughed.
Notice those nice sits the pups are doing to get their treats.
It was a very nice Christmas.

We think that's great that you celebrated Christmas when you could. The girls were VERY well behaved. They'll have to go out more often.

I was a thinking that you might have a scheduled post that came a bit too early...LOL!

The girls looks so very well behaved esp sitting nicely when they are given treats. Very nice manners :) Somehow.. dogs usually are more well behaved with other people.. i don't know why. It happens with mine too.

Hv a wonderful day Sue.

I'm glad the pups were good! The treating photos make it obvious how much smaller the pups are than the Porties.

Merry Christmas!

Those are some nice pictures of very well behaved pups! Poor Runtley, having to defend all of her toys. Still, it's good to have Christmas when it's unexpected - an extra day to celebrate life.

Christmas in May sounds perfect! Your hard work with Syd and Mac has certainly paid off. What good girls! I had to smile reading about Runtley and her toy hoarding. She was probably SO relieved when you left with the pups. :-)
