Happy Reminder

Guess what is fast approaching.  Christmas is only 58 days away!
Why did I think of this? Did a little bird tell me?
No, a little plant told me.
See, my Christmas cactus is in full bud and will be soon be spreading holiday cheer thruout the house.
This will be a quiet holiday season for us. My hand will be in bandages making it impossible to bake or stitch and we'll be missing the sweet, somewhat bossy face of Miss Morgan and all the others at the bridge, but we'll be here together and I'm sure the dogs will be as excited as ever.

I have one gift left to figure out and I am ready. I am sure despite the obstacles you will find a way to celebrate the holidays.

You reminded Mom she has to check on her two Christmas cacti - she hid them in the closet about a month ago:)

We hope Santa remembers to visit ALL our furries across the bridge.

I'm jealous of your Christmas cactus, as usual, because mine isn't budding at all. Sorry about your hand, but I'm glad you're getting it fixed during the winter, so you won't have to worry about missing the fun activities with your pups. Happy 9th birthday to the pups, incidentally!

And, only 58 days to Christmas? I hope I'll have my roof back in place by then. The framers say 6 weeks, so....

The girls - 7 & 8 - have never known a full-sized (not table-top) tree. This is going to be the year!
