Mother Nature seems to be suffering from some sort of mental disorder. As an example, take last week here in Missouri.
Friday it was 65 degrees and windy. Remember this is January. Then it was announced that we were under a tornado watch. That lasted all day. Around six PM the tornado sirens went off and we all went downstairs to watch the weather reports. The tornado was slightly east of us and soon we were able to go back upstairs. The wind was blowing hard and it was raining. Boy, was it raining! About 4 inches.
The next morning the temperature had dropped alarmingly and we had ice on all the surfaces. Then the snow started, about two inches of it.
Sunday was quiet and the temperature hung around the freezing mark. On Monday it was in the forties and today, Wednesday, it's heading for sixty.
We just watched the forecast and we're expecting freezing rain on Friday and very cold temps for the weekend.
For awhile I've thought that good old Mother Nature was bipolar, but I'm beginning to suspect something worse. So what do we do during these rampages?
We sleep in a sunspot, of course.

Sounds a lot like the weather here last weekend. We got rain, but a lot more ice, and then 4 inches of snow. Now we have mud with the rising temps. We are hearing stark warnings about treacherous ice conditions on Friday morning, followed by a big warmup Friday night followed by a return to frigid temps - definitely a bipolar Mother Nature.

We have had big temperature changes too but nothing as severe as you have. We are praying for an uneventful rest of the winter.
I knows right??! Though, Ma is happy we have been gettin' most of our storms from the North (colder storms), we have had really pretty mild temps...as a matter of fact, it's gonna be like 64 come next week! geesh....Ma is ready to break out the short sleeves! BOL
I thinks you gots it right....she definitely some new meds! BOL!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Mother Nature is having difficulty deciding just what season it is....crazy. Just try to keep healthy...sounds like prime flu weather!
We've been getting nutty weather here. The temps have been way too warm for January and tomorrow is supposed to be cold with wind chills of 8 above. Love your Eskimo girl!
We've had days like that. It was in the mid to upper 40s last week, hasn't reached 20 since Friday, and single digit overnight temps. I'm hibernating, and pretending I don't see the lunacy going on outside. Is it even real if I don't play in it?
