Profusion of Confusion

It's November, almost the end of Fall and start of Winter. But here the daily temperatures are in the 80s. Today's forecast is for 83. Everyone is confused by the weather.
The trees should be changing color and though some are, many are still green. The leaves will probably fall off during the next rain or wind storm without changing.
The dogs are confused because we had a couple of cool autumn days and they enjoyed playing in the yard for hours, but now they want to stay inside in the air conditioning.
During those cooler, seasonal days I got out my sweaters and sweatshirts, ready for winter comfort, but today I'm back in shorts and tee shirt.

Even the flowers are confused. My nasturtiums on the porch are blooming better than they have all summer.
But in the kitchen, my Christmas cacti are already starting to bloom.
Come on, Mother Nature, look at your calendar.

Very confusing indeed. Now Mom says she needs to go to the dark closet and take a peek at her Christmas cactus to see what it is doing. We are the same here, lots of green leaves, some color, and muggy days interspersed with cool ones.

I'll see if my Christmas cacti bloom this year. Probably not, if past performance is an indicator. It's getting cooler here, too.

We're having crazy weather on our side of the world, too. It's nearly summer and still very cool in the mornings. Sheesh!

Our mom loves nasturtiums! The frost finally got hers.

I drove to Kentucky yesterday, and went through all the seasons of weather. I disliked the rain mixed with snow, but thankfully didn't have to wait long for summer to show up again - Crazy weather!!

We've had some crazy weather days here too... and much to our dislike, some rainy weekends... but we REALLY need the rain, being in a severe draught area and all.
