The Falling Leaves

We have lots of trees around our house and we live at the foot of a fairly steep hill so our neighbor's leaves tend to blow downhill into our yard.

That's OK. We don't really mind the leaves. Every now and then when it start's getting too hard to find poop deposits in the yard, Rob will mulch them with the mower.

My fur kids like the piles of leaves.

I don't know if it's the rustling sound they make walking thru them or the special scents buried under them.

They can spend hours nosing thru the leaves.

They can find toys hidden under the leaves.

They can relax in them.

This week my girls have discovered the fun of rolling in them.

The leaves cling to my pack like velcro.

When I call them inside, they bring the leaves along with them.

Inside they pull the leaves out of their coats and rip them up on the carpet for me to clean up .

They don't worry about it, there are lots more leaves in the yard to play in.

Yep, we like the leaves here too. Mom can't understand why we always manage to bring in the leaves stuck to our coats right after she has just vacuumed.

Woos, the OP Pack

Looks like fun out in the yard. I guess I'm lucky that Marge has a short coat and doesn't bring much in to the house. Bet you have to pick through their coats so often after they roll around in the leaves!

Fun! The elder whippets wear jammies in these cool days. They roll in leaves and get them under their jammies, so they crackle when I pat them!

I like the smell of them, and of course then because I do, I roll in them, and when I do that they stick to me, and when Mom opens the door to let me in, she says "Hold the phone here, buddy" and she tries to get them all off, but she always misses a few. So I keep some of that nice smell on me.

Kisses,
Stella

Oh how fun is that? We have a huge pile of leaves and Beau ran right through the middle of it the other night. I swear he was laughing! g

What a cute post! My girls love leaves too, but luckily, their slick coats don't have any "stickin'" room...

LOL.. What a cute post. Your little poochies are no different than we were as kids. I, for one, used to love to play in the leaves. Charli likes leaves too.
