My Inspiration

With Easter only a few days away and spring fever in my bones, I indulged in some yarn purchases.

This is so soft and has the colors of spring and it was on sale, which makes it even more attractive. It reminds me of the colored 'grass' that used to be in the base of my Easter baskets.

These colors were just too yummy to pass up. What will I do with them? Well, here is what I plan to be doing this week while I sit in front of the television each evening.

Peeps!! I love Peeps, to look at. I can't stand to eat them. I have a sweet tooth, but Peeps surpass what I can tolerate in sweets. These little knit Peeps will do nicely.

I think a little basket of ducklings is also called for this year. One year Rob gave me a basket with beautiful polished stone eggs in several colors. I haven't seen them since we moved here. I have the feeling a box of my items, including the eggs never arrived.

Here are some of the places I am finding inspiration for my Springtime knitting.

Along with chicks and ducklings, how about a knit lamb.

Or these fluffy fellows.

I love bunnies and have been looking for the perfect bunny to knit. These are awfully cute.

Chan, this one's especially for you.

How cute is that?

Thanks for coming by my blog! Yes, the waiting seems forever but the pot of gold at the end will be worth every second of it!

Just looked through this entry and decided that next year, I will knit all of our and the kids' treats - less fattening that way.

Your stuff is absolutely adorable!! I would love to knit those little peeps. Where can I find the pattern??

If that is Samba's face on your Avatar, what a cutie!!!

very cute bitty bunnies...
we have blue skin too...probably got it from you guys... there's a little story in the history of "dogs of ireland" that says the blue dogs of ireland were thought to have come about by a breeding of some blue dogs that came ashore off of a portugese man o war around the coast of county kerry...a
l o n g time ago...and bred w/the native blue and red dogs...voila...soft single coats w/beautiful wavey soft hair...sound familiar....well that's what we have! and it's hair and grows...and grows and the humomm has to scissor it... oh gotta tell you our dog mom, Ms.Blue, is the swimmer of the year..she goes out w/the humomm and swims and swims.. we do too but not as good as our mom...she even jumps of the dock!
so a bit of kerry blue history!
